These Terms set out the agreement between you ("the Client") and Webify UK ("we", "us") when you ask us to design and build a website for you. Please read them — when you confirm a project or pay the deposit, you accept these Terms.

2. What we provide

We design, build, and deploy small websites for UK businesses and professionals. The specific scope of work — number of pages, sections, features, and any third-party integrations — will be confirmed in writing (email or WhatsApp message) before the project starts. That written confirmation, together with these Terms, forms the contract between us.

3. Pricing & payment

  • Prices are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP).
  • A 50% deposit is payable before work begins. The remaining 50% is payable on launch.
  • We accept payment by Stripe (debit/credit card, Apple Pay) or UK bank transfer.
  • Invoices are due within 7 days of issue. Late payments may attract statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
  • The deposit reserves your project slot and covers initial design work. See Refunds & Cancellation for when the deposit can be refunded.

4. Timeline

Indicative delivery times are 5 working days for a Mini one-pager and 7–10 working days for a Professional site, starting once we have your full content (text, photos, logo). If you delay sending content, the timeline shifts by the equivalent amount.

5. Revisions

Each tier includes one full round of revisions on the first draft, free of charge. "Revisions" means changes to wording, colours, images, layout, or section content within the agreed scope. Additional rounds or changes that materially expand the scope (extra pages, new features, full redesigns) are billed at £40 per hour, quoted in advance.

6. What you agree to provide

  • Accurate business information (services, prices, opening hours, contact details).
  • Any text, photos, logos, or other content you want on the site.
  • Confirmation that you own — or have permission to use — every piece of content you send us, including photos, logos, and any reviews or testimonials.
  • Timely feedback on drafts. If we don't hear from you for 30 days after sending a draft, we may pause the project and resume it once you reply.

7. Intellectual property

  • On full payment, you own the final website — including the source code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), images we have created specifically for you, and any custom written copy.
  • You retain ownership of all content you provided to us.
  • We retain the right to display screenshots and a link to your finished site as part of our portfolio, unless you ask us in writing not to.
  • Any third-party assets (stock photos, fonts, plug-ins, open-source code) remain subject to their original licences, which we'll disclose if asked.

8. Hosting & domain

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, your website is deployed to a third-party hosting provider (Netlify or Vercel) on an account in your name. Domain registration is in your name. We do not hold your site or domain hostage — you can move providers at any time and we will assist with the handover.

9. Acceptable use

We reserve the right to refuse, or cease work on, any project involving illegal content, hate speech, harassment, adult or gambling content (unless properly licensed), or anything that would put us in breach of UK law or our suppliers' acceptable-use policies. If we cease work for this reason, no refund is due.

10. Confidentiality

We treat anything you tell us about your business as confidential. We will not disclose your information to third parties except (a) to the sub-processors named in our Privacy Policy, (b) where required by law, or (c) where you've agreed to a public case study.

11. Warranties & limitation of liability

  • We provide the service with reasonable care and skill, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (where you are a consumer) or the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 (where you are a business).
  • We do not guarantee specific commercial results — e.g. number of enquiries, search-engine rankings, or revenue.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the total fees you paid us for the project.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be excluded under English law.

12. Termination

  • Either party may end the contract by written notice if the other commits a serious breach that isn't fixed within 14 days of being told about it.
  • If you cancel before launch for reasons other than our breach, see Refunds & Cancellation for what is refundable.
  • If we cancel without good reason before launch, we will refund the deposit in full and hand over anything we have already produced.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version that applies to your project is the one in force on the day you confirmed the project. Future projects will be governed by the version in force at the time of that confirmation.

14. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, in which case you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
